About Nammaooru

Nammaooru is a community-run transit and civic-engagement platform for Tamil Nadu. Passengers contribute the routes, timings, and live locations they actually see — no scraping, no guesswork, no paywalls.

We started because the buses we wait for don't have schedules online, fares change without notice, and the only way to know if a bus is coming is to stand at the stop. The app fixes that by turning every passenger into a sensor — anonymous, opt-in, with credit rewards.

What's included today

• Cross-language route search (English + Tamil), filtered by source, destination, operator, bus type, travel time.
• Verified-by-community badges on routes corroborated by multiple contributors.
• District + constituency profiles with current MLA and MP details.
• Civic issue reporting with public resolution tracking.

What's coming next

• iOS app (Android is live).
