Is Nammaooru free?

Yes. There's no subscription. The mobile app and website are free; you earn credits by contributing.

Do I need an account to search?

No. Route search and civic profiles are public. You only sign in if you want to contribute corrections or track a bus.

How does live tracking work?

When you ride, tap Start. Your phone sends anonymous GPS pings to the server, which aggregates them across passengers on the same route. Other commuters see the median.

What can I do with credits?

Redeem them for vouchers at partner shops, top-up offers, and local services. Each district has a different pool of partners.

Who runs Nammaooru?

A small group of commuters and developers in Tamil Nadu. We are not affiliated with TNSTC, MTC, or any operator; data comes from passengers like you.

How do I report a wrong route?

Sign in and use Contribute → Correct a timing / Update a fare. Two verifications and the change is live.
